This was the strangest trip to PR. To summarize, in our Christmas vacation we baptized Valerie on Dec 24 when she turned 6 months old!, celebrated Christmas, went to the funeral visitation of our beloved friend who just passed away on Dec 19 after a short battle against cancer, we went to Old San Juan on Dec 28 and then Valerie got hospitalized for 5 days on Dec 29, she was discharged from the hospital on Jan 2 and we flew back to Michigan on Jan 4. She had a respiratory virus and bronchiolitis, but she is fine now.
We didn't even make it to the beach, Valerie couldn't use her brand new bikini that she got from the baby shower they made me at work. But she will use it some day!
The most exhausting vacations ever!!! We need a vacation from the vacations. But I captured very good pictures while we were there so enjoy.

Overall (without the hospital stay) it was a good vacation! We miss everyone!

It sounds like a tough trip for you all but it's great that Valerie is ok. Puerto Rico seems like a wonderful place and everyone seems very family orientated - it is very similar to Ireland in that way except a bit hotter!
