Landscaping Weekend!

The weekend of Memorial Day was different. As we waited for my grandma to have the funeral services, we already had plans to do our landscaping. She would have been very happy to see all the work we did, especially because she loved flowers.

My nephews helped and my sister just showed up and ate alcapurrias while we were sweating and hungry, eh, that was a joke! ;-) but partially true...the alcapurrias part was true (you will see the picture below).

Ok, so I have this documented in a chronological order, so you will see the before and after of our creation (more or less, Javi's creation because what I did was minimal compared to other times when I help a lot).

We had this space that needed landscaping.

So we went shopping for plants. And we bought: Iris, Loropetalum, Sansivieria, Fox Tail Palm Trees, etc.

Also, Javi and my dad went rock picking to nearby places...shhhhh

And then we got the palm trees installed. And we marked the area with a garden hose.

Then the real work started: see Javi's face (tired already!). Also granpa (mommy's dad) helped.

This is all that we got delivered to our house.

And the hard work kept going. My nephews helped...yes, Dybran was the hard worker and Gaby just pretended that he helped (just kidding, once my sister left, Gaby started working hard as well)...

And some results start showing:

And the little helper came to the rescue...

Partially completed:

The follwing weekend, Javi went to buy more flowers and flagstone. We also bought a bench so we can watch Valerie playing outside.

Curb Appeal:

We want to thank everyone that helped us make this happen (especially my dad that helped pick so many rocks-heavy hard work), but especially I want to thank Javi that did an extraordinary job (beautiful job) in designing and making this our new Lansdcaping!
